I ate here at least 30 times over the 10 weeks I stayed at Trinity beach. The butter chicken and curries are amazing! I had four workers with me and we all agreed, this was the best place to eat in trinity beach. So we ate here as much as possible! The flavors in the dishes and sides are definitely authentic. I never was substituted for any rice or naan as previous reviews stated. The trading hours are inconsistent fo... View all feedback.

Don't be too quick to judge this small Indian restaurant by it's amateur appearance, if you take the time to try a dish or two from the menu you'll find it is actually much worse than initial impressions may have suggested. Worst Indian food I've...More View all feedback.
The best food in Trinity Beach in 2017! I stayed for 10 weeks and dined here at least twice a week. It is some of the best Indian food I have ever had.
Having been advised that Maharajas in Palm Cove was excellent, we decided to check it out during our visit to Cairns. I was surprised that it wasn't listed on Yelp, but we wanted to see if it was as good as they said.
We like a good curry (we're from the UK so we're pretty much curry mad really!). We saw some of the reviews of Maharajas on TripAdvisor and they seemed to be either 1 star or 5 stars so this was intriguing, to say the least. But we thought we'd give it a go and we were pleasantly surprised.BYO was a welcome start...and we had some champers from duty free and the bottle was opened for a $3 corkage - a fair price. To start with we had the obligatory poppadoms (light a crispy with good tasty selection of chutneys etc) and the chicken tikka (lots of it and very tasty.)For mains, my wife had the Korma, which she enjoyed and I had the Vindaloo (very nice but I asked for hot but I thought it was more medium). Again excellent portions - plenty of rice and a good selection of nan breads. And all had good flavour.Service was excellent and friendly. We've been blessed to have some excellent curries in the past elsewhere in the world and this, in our opinion was on the good side and we were more than happy to pay the $80 bill - which we thought was excellent value. Some times in life you have to take a risk - we did and it paid off. Recommended for a decent Indian meal with fast friendly service. Thanks - we enjoyed the evening.
Very expensive very small portions with little meat for $18 takeaway Indian dinner, rice extra. Sauce was nice. Takeaway took well over an hour but they were not busy, hardly anyone there, while Thai next door was full. Others became impatient and walked out. Ceiling fans over the kitchen were caked with dirt and dust which makes me question the cleanliness of the place.
Although we arrived late, breakfast was put on for us and was delicious and satisfying as was the coffee at a more than reasonable price. Would definitely return for any meals as the menu was plentiful without too many choices and the service was prompt.
