As a vegan it's always nice to find a reasonably priced unpretentious place to eat. This was it in Trieste very homely place with friendly folk. A set meal vegan with a wrap followed by quiche, bean patties, spinach fittata. Followed by cake with lemon sauce washed down with a choice of hot or cold beverages. Very filling and tasty all inc for 15 euros. It was slightly salty to my taste but I cook with no salt so no supprise there, wine or beer available and further food options on another menu. The set menu changes daily. Quirky place with 2 funky furry cats, angelina kept running under your feet she's the cheeky one.
We have been here twice, last night and tonight. We had to come back! Amazing vegan tasty food. There is one single menu, everyday different. Tastful and made with love! Clara the owner and her son in the kitchen are great helpful friendly people. The place is very much blue with colourful paintings on the wall. Open 19:00-22:30
So you can 't choose your menu, so what? It was very good food. To start with we had chickpea flour crepes with veggies and hummus which was good. The star of the show was the pumpkin lasagna which was vegan and made with a vegan bechamel that could compete with any 'proper ' bechamel the hostess even kindly shared her secret with me. Really enjoyable, fun place in an unexpected unmarked, residential location. Would recommend!
