In the capital of coffee, a great place to enjoy the delicious cocktails in the center of the most beautiful city a few metres from the sea. White Negroni, Ballini classic, Audace... And the sea was woven. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Harry's Grill:
lunch, there are better places surely both as food and poor service, with women's staff at no prepared so unsatisfactory .if this is the level when they will reopen the small hare's then they are put badly wrong. View all feedback.
The harry grill has a position and furnishings against which it is difficult to compete. with views of the square unit of Italy and its windows you can admire both the gulf and the beautiful palaces of the municipality, the prefecture. there are also tables outside the square itself and the summer is very pleasant to stop for lunch, dinner but also for aperitif or a simple coffee. prices are certainly not reasonable but cannot be said unjustified given the rather exclusive offer. the elegant interior decor resumes those of the Venetian bar. spectacular is the murano glass chandelier. the restaurant is not cheap, but for a romantic evening with a view maybe you can do some madness.
Visited Harry's Bistro because the big brother, Harry's Piccolo was closed. We were seated outside. Staff is a bit stiff but still friendly. €95 for a 5 course tasting menu is a bit expensive, we did not take a wine coupling but were advised well on a bottle of local white. Dishes were small an if it hadn't been for the quite heavy desert we would have left with hunger. Ceviche with coconut curry was mainly sour with curry in the distance, really not nice at all. Luckily this was the worst of the dishes, only way from here is up. Green risotto was quite nice and surprising next we had the black cod with Jerusalem artichokes. This was small and not very exciting. The Fish pot was very nice, extrovert flavours and big enough to pass as a menu course. Desert was disappointing but large so we wouldnt be hungry. All and all not at all the niveau we expected from Harry's and not at all worth the money. Much better eateries available in Trieste. Advice to skip.
Amazing food and service at a phenomenal spot in Trieste. For dinner we had grilled octopus and it was very tender and smokey. We also stayed at the Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta and had our breakfasts at the restaurant. The breakfasts were very good and the service amazing. Every morning our waiter Tommy was extremely helpful, cheerful and his service was quick.
The restaurant is located in magnificent settings of Piazza Unità d'Italia and, in keeping with the rest of similar establishments, is manly el fresco in summer. The food is actually cooked and the chef experimented with adding additional flavours, all of which made a pleasant contrast to bland offerings typically served in Italy. We’ve had a fillet of veal and burger with truffles and both were delicious. Wine list set-up, on iPad, was extensive yet rather gimmicky and waiters did not appear overly familiar with types of wine for a given budget. Bookings are recommended. Dining there was a fitting finale to our visit to this fabulous city.
What a pretentious place! I found myself wondering around Trieste and thought I would have a drink. The place was nearly empty which should of told me There was no one to great me so I took a seat in the outdoor seating area. The was an English guy just finishing his drink so I sat two tables down from him. The waiter appeared and I tried to get his attention but he side eyed me. He then took payment from the English guy and again completely ignored me. Two locals then turned up and he seated them. Still no eye contact. He disappeared inside so I decided to leave and take my custom elsewhere. Maybe I didn’t follow the correct protocol but there was no one there when I arrived. I probably made the right decision and got my drink elsewhere. A very snooty place. But my euros are the same as the rest !
