Excellente Weinkarte! Wir kommen wieder. View all feedback.

Idyllic atmosphere, succelent tapas, very good service, and varied menu. They also have high chairs, which is perfect!
Eating goose around the feast of St. Martin is a German culinary tradition that a bunch of friends of mine and I really enjoy. This restaurant has recently been a very nice discovery for us. They did not offer goose in their menu when I...contacted them, but the manager gave us the possibility to order the geese in advance and cook them for us with the traditional side dishes (gravy, red cabbage, chestnuts and salad). Everything was abundant and delicious and the white wine and desserts we had were very good too. The staff was very friendly. Organizing the event was easy; they showed a lot of flexibility and the service was really fast and good. Weinwirtschaft Friedrich-Wilhlem is very well-located, right in the centre of Trier. The atmosphere is very nice in this restaurant. We were people and had our own room, which gave us a feeling of comfort and privacy.
We are from Canada and admittedly are not used to the amount of salt added to the food here. The onion soup looked and smelled delicious but was inedible due to the very, and I mean VERY high salt content. They were very considerate and...removed the inedible soups from the table and offered us the option of freshly made onion soup. We politely declined as who was to say is less salt would be added to the next bowls? The main courses were also very salty, but edible. It’s unfortunate as the vegetables and tomatoes appeared fresh but tasted as though they were going to be preserved in salt for next year. The restaurant was kind enough to provide a dessert gratis as a result of our not being able to consume the soup. We admit that the high level of salt is likely the normal local palate, so cannot be too critical. This is written just to warn the NA palate of the SALT in the meals here. We’ve not experienced this elsewhere in Germany
Shopping in trier is fine , but normally you do not leave the shooping streets to have some food , in this place , found after years shopping in trier , you will be welcomed like at home and have excellent food and local...wines for a reasonable price
Comfortable restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. Food is very good probably above average. They have a really good selection of wines, especially white ones. I strongly recommend Riesling grape ones, from that very region. Service is really good, and staff seems to be very...competent. Good choice for a nice dinner with a group of friends.
