Gasthaus Wollscheid - Trier

Came to Southern Germany from Hawaii and this Gasthaus was recommended by a friend. I was not disappointed, from the moment I checked in I was treated like a local and not a tourist. My German is not good by any means but that didn't bother the staff. The food in the restaurant is authentic and a wonderful meal for a reasonable price. I toured the areas around Trier and the city itself but, for 4 days always came back to the restaurant for dinner and it never disappoints and rivals the food anywhere in town. The first comment is that the bathroom has no outside door! that means that the only door they have is inside the shower room that leaves them with a really very small place to take a shower nowhere to hang their clothes or towel. then. put your showers ready and have to go outside to take your towel and your clothes, but there is no door and everyone in the curse can see you! Maybe that's a nudistic place and I didn't notice it before. the WORST part: when I arrived, a rude guy asked me if I was Italian. when I said no, he agreed to stay!? and just put a spray of alcohol for hands in front of me and committed me to use thanks, but my mother gave me enough training and I would have used this since the cheating if it was there and not hidden behind the balcony. I'm sure they don't have to show it like a weapon. before another man put me in the room, asked me to use the alcohol, and I had to show him that I had already used it. what was really surprised: when I came to the room, I noticed hairs in the bed. some different types and colors of the hairs. everything with the alcohol spray before and no wash of the bed sheets? great wise to avoid the corona. with racism, informationless, restless and no washbeds set. really effective. oh, and I could hear someone who radiates the night, because the walls are thin and the single space was only theoretical. Check-in process totally amateur, no one explains something about the times for breakfast, check out, etc. I was in the bedroom and ran almost away from me. Yes, they were histerical in panic and made me feel totally embarrassing to be there. really far from the city center and too expensive for what it offers. I had already had amazing experiences with simpler locations that accused me of 20% of what I paid here. a place to forget.

The restaurant is surprisingly very good and quite expensive. we are so happy with the carvings we ordered. the staff and the owner are very friendly. it seems full of the local in restaurant and it is very busy all day. hotel room. are somewhat outdated, but very clean, spacious and quiet. I would definitely recommend.

The visit from here and the food is good, and the carvings the best. service always friendly, but sometimes a problem with English speaking. it's a pity that they don't have a menu in a foreign language. sometimes very busy, so they must be patient, but it is worth waiting.

This pension is only 1/2 hours to walk from the train station is far enough from the city to be peaceful, the staff is all very welcoming. I came 2 hours earlier than normal review in the time not a problem housed me immediately not a...feat in cash all very high standard. will definitely book for just €37 per night for a single room, the only part shared shower toilets, but room all kept on a high standard.
