The restaurant is very good located near the Market place, in the Palaststrasse 3, Trier, only open for breakfast and lunch, there are always choices of differe... read more The restaurant is very good located near the Market place, in the Palaststrasse 3, Trier, only open for breakfast and lunch, there are always choices of different vegetarian menus, small or normal portions, with a tasty soup, a lot of vegetables, customers are sitting on a very large counter, also a table with 4 places is available when you come at 11.30 am, the Biogate resto is situated in the middle of a very extensive Bio supermarket and bakery,where they can slice your bread (not easy to find in France or Austria)

Bio Gate offers a different selection each day which is posted on a large blackboard. There are two sizes of helpings and the small one is very generous. The presentation is inspiring and it is the place where the locals eat. The fresh juices are recommended. It says a lot when the same staff is there year after year and they remember you! I would highly advise the salads in a land of pork and potatoes, not that there is anything wrong with that.
