We ordered takeaway fish and chips for lunch and it was cooked to perfection. The lady that served us was polite and very friendly. We decided we would go back and we tried a pizza for dinner. The pizzas are homemade and very tasty. Great value for money.. We were told that pizzas on a weeknight need to be ordered by 5 o'clock or we might miss out! I'm glad we made it in early enough.. We stopped for a much needed coffee. I asked the very unfriendly woman if they actually made their lattes on milk. She replied "we can make it how you like" (obviously a proper latte on milk). I also ordered two chicken kebabs - we sat down to wait and took a bite of our kebab sticks. They tasted disgusting snd they stunk like off meat. Friendly bright and airy caffe, delicious cafe restaurant served hot. big burger, we also have a few chicken and salat rolls for lunch on maria island. recommend to travellers
Great local business, amazing fresh fish and chips. beautiful open dining area with plenty of seating and a good choice on the menu. very friendly and quick service. it is worth keeping for a din in or to take meal or drink.
We accidentally discovered this jewel, as we needed a safe parking space for several days. there is plenty of space on the back of the caffe to park a self-included vehicle. as a side advantage, malcolm cooked the best pizza I ate. in our second night there were fresh fish and scallops. the caffe is close to transfers to maria island and its caffe beside a modern wash salon with hot showers. find fantastic and highly recommended.
Eat or take their choice. While I was waiting for my meal to be prepared, it was obvious that this place is popular with locals for lunch. service was prompt, the portion was generous and my fish was cooked to perfection
We called in to try it again as many people had told us the flat head fillets were terrific. We had been holidaying at Bicheno so was on the way home. We decided to eat in, so could add a little more to tourism businesses...finding it difficult at the moment. Flat Head was great 5 for a few chips seemed to be a little expensive, but to be fair had to pay to clean the plates etc... Coffee was a little better but not a place you would go to get a great coffee. I would recommend flat head to go fantastic.
