La Cucina Della Moscadella - Trequanda

Candlelight dinners in the garden are unforgettable. Great food, fantastic atmosphere, amazing owner and team. Highly recommended!

We were staying a couple of nights in the hotel and despite that there are many options in the area for dining, we chose to eat at Moscadella whenever we could (Restaurant is closed on Wednesdays Thursdays). This is why: 1) Most beautiful scenic view you can image. The looks into one of the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany fuels you with relaxation. 2) The service is excellent: Catarina is not only very knowledgable and helpful with the menue and the whines, she also interacts very very nicely with the kids (picky eaters) to understand discuss what they would like to eat. 3) The food is marvelous!! Thank you, Giancarlo!! My wife got addicted to Pici with Duck Ragú and is now giving me hard times as I fail to deliver, back here in Germany. 4) Also the interior of the restaurant is first class, very tasteful and completes the experience very nicely!

We got in late this evening and needed dinner. They had a multi course meal with wine paring offered that Evening but it was 8:30 when we sat down and we were not up to a big meal so late. They allowed us to pick the courses we wanted and wine for a reduced fee. We were just so glad they could accomodate us after an all day flight from Iceland. They started us with a welcome glass of Prosecco followed by a wine of our choice. We had a zucchini flan to start followed by bread with olive oil. Then our main course was spinach ricotta ravioli in a truffle sauce! OMG!! It was delicious! So have no doubts, the Tuscan chef does a great job. We passed on dessert. But it looked fabulous and I am sure it was yummy!

We own a house in the area and eat at La Moscadella every time we are there. Isabella owns this hotel and restaurant. She is smart, charming, friendly, helpful, and her English is excellent. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the service, food, and wine are excellent, consistently excellent. My wife had a rose prosecco that was delightful and the staff told us where we could buy it directly from the winery nearby.

This place has amazing food and service. Food is always fun and a little different, pasta making class turned into luxury meal, wine pairing dinner, wild game tasting. We loved it!
