Superb. An old establishment , closed for a few years . Been reinvented and given a throughly modern makeover. A huge variety of products, and so far !! (I am trying to eat my way through them all). Everything is 100% Top Drawer . Although the new owners have kept the original name Carpanini 's, it will always be known as Ernies . View all feedback.

This is a new chip shop ie new owners of an old well established fish and chips shop. There is a lot of home made foods; huge rissoles and pies etc. Real chips cut thick, potatoes used are good quality but not excellent quality. There are a few black bits but at the moment a quick profit seems not to be on the owners agenda. I really hope it stays this way. Too many of these outlets open up with a clear practice of you get what you 're given so put up with it . These shops invariably shut down as proved by the fact that well established fish and chips shops in the area, once great and award winning, now closed down due to the proprietors greed. You know who you are! Food is almost 5 stars, it 's getting better every time but the chips are ever so slightly under cooked. Just a little more frying time needed. I 'm sure this will improve though as they seem to be receptive to constructive criticism without being offended. At the moment it is probably the best chip shop in the vicinity of Treorchy/Treherbert area and well worth a visit. Here 's hoping that after many more years, this chip shop will stand the test of time.
Great variety of quality food available. This time we had the Victoria Park pies (steak) they were second to none.
Chips were terrible like they were warmed in microwave, fish dreadful and very small for £6.95 probably a bonus due to how terrible it tasted. Curry was nice which was a blessing as it took the taste of fish and chips away. Disappointed
