What 586wendyz doesn't like about Trenary Home Bakery:
We walked by in the evening and saw their signs for lattes and breakfast and decided to give it a try in the morning. It was ok. The latte was weak and lacked flavor- same for the cinnamon roll. Just nothing special and I hate to waste calories on an ok breakfast. View all feedback.
I stopped by on the weekend to see if by chance they might be open. I was on my way to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Trenary Home Bakery was closed, but I was THRILLED to find their product for sale in Sault Ste. Marie! I love anything made with cardamom. The fragrance reminds me of Finnish Nisu. I picked up cinnamon raisin and cinnamon, too. What an excellent dunker in the morning!
When I was a kid 60 's-70 's we used to go camping up north . One of our staples was Star Toast if I 'm remembering correctly. A few year 's back I went searching on the Internet to find it. What I found was Ternary toast. This place is incredible. I 've placed multiple orders sending gifts to my siblings and introducing it to my Ohio family. Not one bad review yet. Just received my most recent order of raisin bread, cinnamon bread, Limpu, vanilla toast and cinnamon chocolate chip tiast. Keep up the great work
I saw a video on the Trenary Cinnamon Toast and thought I would try it. I really don't understand what all the fuss was about since it is merely very hard toast covered in cinnamon sugar. I can see why they suggest dunking it into a drink. It is hard to bite/chew if you don't. Certainly better can be made at home. I will not purchase again.
Thank you ?. Received my order of Finnish cinnamon toast in the mail today. Reminds me of another brand from my childhood that my grandparents would always have when we would visit them in northern Minnesota. Unfortunately that brand is no longer made and just found out from my Aunt. Definitely will be ordering again. Sarah from Minnesota
We stopped by to investigate the Ternary Toast phenomenon while passing through. Unfortunately, the sign on the door says the cafe is permanently closed (maybe a Covid casualty). They do sell their products at a gas station minimart down the street so picked up some bags of toast there and must say it is unique. We brought it home to Kentucky and have enjoyed it very much. Keeps for several months and warms nicely in a microwave in a few seconds. Wish we were closer by and can understand the cult following. Not sure how the cafe was but glad this little local business is still cranking out the Trenary toast.
