L'Eveil Des Sens - Trelins

We were desperately trying to find a night stopover north of St Etienns, went through many towns with no or not appropriate hotels. Stopped in a neighbouring village to ask whre on earth a hotel was and we were directed to L'Eveil des Sens@ in Trelins a tiny village that you would never find if you did not know) and only a short distance from the autoroute. The small hotel was spotlessly clean- simple bedrooms with crisply ironed sheets and very comfortable bed. The owners are absolutely charming and really really care about their hotel and their guests. We ate in the restaurant and had the most delicious home made prepared fois gras followed by a superb melange of beautifully cooked fish. The restaurant was busy and full of local people as well as guests. The only very very slight comment is that the restaurant could have more intimate lighting- it is a little stark and very very bright- but hey...... Everyone was so so friendly. wanting to know how we had found this little gem. Breakfast the next day was delicious with home made jams and we could have had cheeses and cooked meats, but just stuck to croissants and dellicious breads as we had eaten quite enough the night before. After travelling through St Etienne, this is a safe and quiet ideal stopover . I could not recommend it more. These lovely people really do deserve to be super successful. We will visit again if we ever travel that way.

Address to be noted absolutely. the dishes are excellent and copied. The boss smiles and does everything for his clients. our daughter with allergies, she had dishes especially for her. I recommend 200

Very friendly staff. The rooms were better than I imagined (spacious, well equipped, well thoughts, spacious bathroom). The only thing that bothered me a little is the car passage near my room, but it wasn't a big problem.

Very good reception, fresh and very good dishes, well presented.

Everything was perfect, meals, hospitality, a lot of benevolence for the client, we spent a nice family party for our 50 years of marriage. Stop without hesitation.
