Fantastic pizza with lovely crisp base and fresh toppings. The steak Osso Bucco were also very good too. Friendly place with very good service. A very good family restaurant
Nice garden and cosy interior. Pizzas and salad were excellent. Service was good, and felt very much like a family business On our holidays we visited a lot of pizza restaurants and La Rocca definitely had the best ones.
It was ice cold, slipped when we crashed from the parking lot to the restaurant. I cursed the 200m that separated the resto from this next parking lot. It was immediately forgiven when we entered the warming embrace of the restaurant with a large log...fire burning at one end of the charming dining room. We were early so we can choose our table near the fire. After choosing an aperitif, disappointing not accompanied by any amuse bouches, we put on the serious business of choosing the main course. As an Italian restaurant there was the inevitable long list of pizzas that all looked very attractive. But, not in pizza mood, we went away... my lover chose an entrepreneur steak while I went for osso bucco. Both have cleaned our records, well satisfied, but I think I had the best of it. The service, from the lovely lady operator was prompt and not excessively intimate or effusive. We flushed our food with a beautiful bottle of Pinot Noire, finished with Tiramisu and cream Brulé. The final calculation of about 75€ was considered acceptable if only for the log fire. Then back to the night...
Came here last night and wish we had visited earlier. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming. I had the four seasons pizza that was delicious and my husband chose the seafood pasta he also said was... delicious. Our two deserts were beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
We haven't tried pizza here yet, what could be, why we were usually satisfied, but not in some details. At the starters, the scallops in the “Tartare de coquilles st.jaques” were rather sparse, the other ingredients were too strong and sour. The carpaccio was beautiful... balanced and went well. We had osso bucco, my favorite, noix d’entrecôte, tagliatelle saumon, t.carbonara.. Apart from the fact that the Osso-Bucco was overwhelmed by his sauce, everyone was very happy. The desserts tried: Crème brûlée, very nice; simple vanilla ice cream, delicious; best tiramisu my wife ever cost; Coupe Brittany, crazy indulgence of calories and taste of cream... All in all, a very mixed experience, hard to decide the lower line. To be fair, the reputation for their pizza seems justified by the passers-by of our table. The very comfortable room was fully booked and full of happy diners. We'll try a pizza at the next visit. We're local, probably means that soon.
