On the positive side, the farm is large, and we enjoyed participating in the activities—it wasn't uncomfortable. However, my main concern is that customer service should have informed us at check-in that we would need to bring our own laundry detergent to use the washing machine. What's the point of having the machine if there’s no detergent available? I would have brought my own if I had known. That's why I feel thi... View all feedback.
Friendly staff, fantastic service and amazing landscape. very pleasant place to stay. we loved it. room: 4/5 service: 5/5 location: 5/5 .more
Great spot! Great cabins (we booked 3 nights). Serene location. Cabins are rustic and everything you could need to feel comfortable. We don 't mind prices. I run an international business overseas and understand the work that goes into running one so we pay good money for a good stay, happily.Unfortunately on the day of check in my husband had a run in with a very rude, grumpy and downright mean staff member over an issue that should never have happened which will bring down our rating and most likely mean we won 't return unless we get an acknowledgement of this.My husband had booked bestbrooke as a stay after a bad stint overseas in the army. He wanted a peaceful place to recoup and be happy. Bestbrooke claim a great family run environment and so he picked them! We drove 8 hours from Gold Coast to Sydney to collect our Mother in Law and drove the whole way back in under one day. We got there. Happy! Cheery and pretty much like zombies and very sleepy. We checked in and went straight to animal feeding as the kids were excited and then had plans to head to the beautiful cabin. My husand in his delirious state and having no idea where to go or where to park, parked in a parking spot he found and we went to feed the animals. We heard a loud yell at us from an elderly looking man yelling at my husband so loudly and in such an angry manner that my husband and a group of others all stopped and looked around. I heard it from down by the paddock. He was yelling to park elsewhere and can 't we see the sign etc etc. He was looking at us like we were unwanted and not welcome at the farm. Not a great first impression. My husband simply got in the car and moved it (he is always calm and collected and a great man) and we headed to the cabin afterwards. He was extremely tense and upset for a while after. I 'm extremely upset by this. We later seen the same man in a ute cleaning the toilets by the camp sites he tried hard to avoid looking at us and then gunned his car down the path well over the 15 km speed allocated. Unsure if he did that because of us?! It was upsetting to say the least. My husband never really did get that out of his mind The reason we went was for some calm and peace and not even 4 minutes in was met with this man and his obscene anger. Why ?! Why didn 't he just say 'park else where please '? Does he not understand that we are first time guests and perhaps asked a little nicer or quietly?Don 't they care how guests are treated? Not impressed. It was such an amazing spot. We would have loved to come back.
Always a great time and the free farm activities are fantastic for kids as is the horse riding.Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 …More
Has a lot of potential but way too expensive for the quality of the facilities. It has a beautiful creek running through and horse riding etc. so could be great. But for $60 per night for a powered camp-site and a two night minimum I expect more than grotty portaloos and portaloo style showers as well. Even BIG 4 campsites don't usually charge that much and they have fully stocked kitchens and bathrooms in an actual building that are cleaned daily. You can also still hear the highway so not quite as peaceful as I was hoping. I wouldn't pay more than $20-30 for a powered night to stay here again. Can't say I'd recommend to anyone to be honest.
Amazing two nights getaway with my family at the end of the school holidays. The staff were amazing, friendly, efficient, entertaining and informative. The animal feedings and horse riding was a family favourite. The camp ground is beautiful, spacious and nested between the creek and mountains. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back!
