Local pub a little outside the city. Just stopped before leaving the city. They had four seasonal beers on Hahn. We had the escargot, the egg rolls and the French dip. I never had itcargot, so I have nothing to compare with: It was covered with garlic and butter and tasted good. The egg rolls were deep fried and perfect four of our drink after a long night. The French dip was easy on the shaved main rib, too much bre... View all feedback.
What Taylor Yarnell doesn't like about Mode's Bum Steer:
Looking for a good steak in traverse and we saw this place that was rated very highly. The sign was missing letters so the building just said bum steer. Walking in, I was not expecting it to look so outdated. The restaurant had a faint smell of oldcigarettes and was very cramped. Had the Steak and Lobster; both were delicious! Wedge salad with homemade ranch dressing was simple yet so tasty! Fast friendly service. All 9 of us were very pleased with our meals and desserts. Will definitely go again!
Food was awesome, love the home bar feel was so stuffed!! Will be making another trip here!!
Fantastic, old school steakhouse. Can?t say enough good things about Mode?s. I?ve been dining here for years, and will for many more. Excellent service, food, drinks. Skip the tourist traps and hang out with the locals.
Looking for a good steak in traverse and we saw this place that was rated very highly. The sign was missing letters so the building just said bum steer. Walking in, I was not expecting it to look so outdated. The restaurant had a faint smell of oldcigarettes and was very cramped. I ordered the peppercorn skillet which was a sirloin with pepper on top. The steak was veryblend except for the top which made me feel like I was choking on pepper. The wedge salad is literally just a slab of iceberglettuce drenched in dressing. The Texas toast was a piece of stale bread. The food was not good at all. Our waitress was reallynice though
This restaurant has a great old time steakhouse ambiance and coziness that was irresistible. I sat at the bar as the tables were already full at 4:30 PM on October 11th. The bartenders were friendly and very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I had the blue cheese wedge salad and prime rib it was one of the best rib's I've ever had and rivals the top steakhouses inmy home state of Oklahoma. I was in town to play Arcadia Bluff's golf courses. Highly recommend this restaurant as one of thebest in Traverse City.
