Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room

Stopped in while walking around the city on my first day and got a ton of cool recommendations of what to do in the city, as well as some knowledge about the liquors and distilleries in the area. Shelby and the other bartender (sorry man) were good people to have a quick chat with. Will be back frequently during my stay, highly recommend everyone to stop in for a drink or three.

We had an amazing experience at the Grand Traverse Distillery! Aubrey took great care of us. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with exceptional service. The drinks were absolutely fantastic as well! I highly recommend the Peach Perfect and the Summer Cooler. This place is definitely a staple of downtown Traverse City!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Friendly staff, terrific craft spirits, and awesome location. Get a tasting and try the Cherry Whiskey and Maple Barrel aged. No sugars or additives. Just flavor from the aging process. Peninsula Gin is also highly recommended. DIY “straight from the still” whiskey also available for those of you that like to age/infuse at home. Stay a while and have a cocktail after your tasting. It’s an “every visit back home” stop for us!

Last night we visited and really enjoyed the drinks but had a distinctly frosty reception from the two ladies on the bar. However we enjoyed our drinks and stupidly revisited tonight. We were treated like something that had been scraped off our shoes. Utterly awful experience. We had purchased a bottle of gin as it was so good but asked for a refund. Such a shame as the guy who we spoke to was utterly charming

Very helpful employee got me what I wanted ASAP, wish I had spent more time trying to try different articles. But not with a specific driver not a viable option. Cherry blossom whiskey one for me and one for a good friend.
