Had a great brunch here last week! Great little cheery spot. Great service, pretty quick. I don't usually like breakfast potatoes but the waitress recommended them and they were amazing! Northerner Benedict was delicious. Husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito too. Some nice gluten free options too if you need that. View all feedback.
Gorgeous fall day. Fabulous caramel latte, strong dark coffee. Lovely presentation of eggs Benedict on a platter. Water in carafe. Inside wait was 25 minutes at 10:30, but outside with gated sidewalk was immediate. Sit outside and order by code if weather abides. Drinks appear fast. Line gets longer and locals will wait. We know it’s good. Bring out of town guests, because this is the charm of TC they came up here for ….. People watching is good. Try to arrive by foot or bike or Uber. Parking is all owned by others. Honestly, TC decided a parking space wasn’t a priority downtown —-don’t blame the restaurant. Blame our nutty city commissioners. The previous restaurant (patisserie amie) was my favorite for breakfast and so is this little gem. It’s all about the location, quality of food, ambiance. Ingredients are supplied locally. Yes, we can enjoy the atmosphere even with breakfast. Dinner reservations are hard to get, so enjoy brunch. This spot has a sweet vibe. It’s hard to get good staff….or any staff….and our server was beyond nice. Enjoy !
I enjoyed all the bites of this delicious breakfast. Seriously the food made me so happy ? We had the Brioche Egg Sandwich and the Root Vegetable Hash (those potatoes were as good as they look). Would highly recommend, and I hope to come back next time I’m in town!
Just an all around fabulous breakfast spot. Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere.
Found this gem on YELP and headed there on Sunday morning on our way out of town when they opened at 8:30AM. Easy to locate and there is street parking. This was the first time I have ever seen a sign that designated the street parking as back in only. Cute little place with bright and cheery colors they must have outdoor seating in the nicer weather months because they had a fenced off section and some heaters. Inside is pretty small but cozy lots of natural light! I'd suggest getting here early since it is pretty small. We left around 9:45am and there were still open seats but not many. They had two cold cases up front one with NA beverages, one with alcoholic beverages and a few pastries. We were sat right away and the person who sat us was super sweet they took our drink order right away and were accommodating to our two kids that can't make their minds up between chocolate milk or lemonade. They have a nice selection of morning beverages and an impressive looking coffee situation that you can see and smell. I ordered the Bug Juice that was listed on the menu our server said that the juice was slightly different than what was listed bc the menu hadn't been updated still sounded delish so I ordered it, however, I never received the juice. By the time I realized that I wasn't going to get it, the kids were too antsy and we were pretty much done eating so I just let it go. Totally forgot to check and see if I had been charged for it, $6. The menu is small but everything looked amazing. There is no kid's menu but there are some ala cart options that would work. We got out boys the french toast to split and a side of scrambled eggs they loved the french toast (were not fans of the toppings, oddly enough) and the scrambled eggs were delish! I ate what they didn't reminded me of low and slow french style eggs! Hubby got the Root Vegetable Hash and loved it! I didn't get a bite, but I did have some of his toast and the toast was SO good I assume homemade sourdough. I got the Loaded Homefries and OMG. Top 10 best breakfasts I have had. Nothing was too much not too much hollandaise, not too much cheese or bacon, etc. Potatoes were a great combo btw soft inside and crispy outside. Eggs were a good poach. I couldn't eat all of it because the helping is huge hubby ate the rest for lunch and said it was really really good. There appeared to only be one server checking on tables, one person greeting seating and getting a drink order, and a food runner helping. I'd say service was good and everyone was friendly. Prices are a little higher than a standard breakfast place, but you get what you pay for. We both said we'd go back added to our TC list of fav places!
Benedict deserves 5 stars. Our meal was beyond satisfying, from the full, rich umami flavors of the Northerner Benedict to the savory root vegetable hash. Simple divine!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection. You must try their hot sauce. Never had one like it--not too much heat, packed with richness. Couldn't get enough. They have a fantastic coffee menu. We ordered the dirty chai after finding out they make their chai in-house. Yum yum YUM!Excellent service. Extremely personable and thoughtful. HIGHLY recommend Benedict. Come on a weekday to avoid a wait on the weekends.
