Traralgon Charcoal Chicken

I stopped at this restaurant while passing through Traralgon. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the chips were crispy and fresh. I also tried the scalloped potatoes and chicken schnitzel, both of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Traralgon.

Several years ago, during a vacation, my son came across an advertisement on Gippsland TV claiming that Traralgon Charcoal Chicken was the best charcoal chicken in town. Intrigued by the power of advertising, we decided to stop there for lunch on our way back to Melbourne. Since then, whenever we drive from Melbourne through Traralgon, we make sure to stop at Traralgon Charcoal Chicken for lunch. According to my son, it's the best charcoal chicken in Victoria.

Have not had anything from here for many years but today decided to try it again. Rang them mid afternoon and ordered for I got there right on time and it was just coming off the cooker, I was impressed, quite busy the place...seems to run like a well oiled machine. We had a full chicken , large chips and mushroom salad, I had been told the chips were good , they were as was the rest of the meal , very enjoyable. It will not be as long between visits next time . The staff are good and every think is being done in a Covid safe way

I ordered a hot chicken roll, they literally grabbed a cold chicken roll and put in in the microwave. Disgusting, would never go back

I visited Charcoal Chicken today and ordered a tropical pack the chicken and banana were very nice however the chips could have been cooked a little better and the pineapple was almost none existent, sliced so thinly it wasn't worth having
