The food here is outstanding! We tried the salmon chowder along with the gourmet grilled cheese and fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Eric, provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place! View all feedback.
What Patricia Miller doesn't like about 20,320 Alaskan Grill Mckinley Princess Lodge:
Food was great but it's definitely a cruise ship place. Google maps didn't mention that it was a cruise lodge. Sorry to hear about the accident, but even with that in mind the staff were amazing. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Classic Caesar Salad View all feedback.
This was a 2 restaurants in the Mt. McKinley Wilderness Lodge, and we only have appetizers here. Just like the lodge itself, this restaurant...
If you like fish cannot beat Fresh crab legs and salmon unless you are catching them yourself. Menu only has 4 entrees but quality good. Huckleberry ice cream for dessert was excellent
Four of us stopped off here for lunch after staying at Denali cabins and on our way to Talkeetna. We arrived just as lunch was starting. No problems with being seated and served. Then we're out of a few items, so we had a burger, two crispy chicken sandwiches and a mac n cheese, and four diet cokes. Food arrived in a timely manner and was hot, tasty, and well presented. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The bill was reasonable .
Didn’t call our name to be seated. Accidentally checked us off while waiting right in front of hostess stand. Drinks were brought out piecemeal. Ladies asked for straws for their drinks, went and got their own after 10 minutes. After I was almost done with dinner, they told me they didn’t have my beer, almost an hour after ordering. One order was wrong, 2 salads brought without dressing, took 15 minutes to bring out dressing. “Corrected” order was still wrong, but we just ate it. Both salads had cucumber slices on the which had obviously been frozen. Supervisor asked how our experience was, and we told him. Promised to heavily discount our dinners, and then left without fulfilling his commitment. Overcharged for 3 drinks over menu prices, including the beer I never received. It was apparent that most if not all of the restaurant staff were thrown into their jobs with little to no training. But they’re one of your only options for miles, they will never see you again and you will never see them again, so there is little incentive to have you leave a satisfied customer.
The 20320 Alaskan Grill Restaurant restaurant was very disorganized. They were either short staffed, short tempered, or really did not want to be there. Someone in the kitchen kept yelling at someone and the whole side of the restaurant I was sitting at heard that and kept turning to look at what was going on. Our food came out cold again. We had eaten there the night before with the same problems. They had long serve times and did not care how the food was thrown on the plate. All our food was stacked on one side of the plate. The rest of the plate was empty. The server finally alerted the manager as I had to send it back. The manager apologized and stated she had staffing issues. I felt bad for her, but I left without eating. She did not charge us. Majority of guests are 60 to 80 years old and did not do much. It seemed like a retirement home. Everything is very pricey and for what they charge needs to be updated. I have been on tours with Carnival and Royal Caribbean and have not had these issues. That's so odd considering Carnival owns Holland America.
