I was stunned at how pretentious the pricing was forterrible execution and vision. The soup (sauce) was overwhelming sweet, bad cuts of burnt bacon bits, grape tomatoes shriveledevidence of sitting out to long cut in a bin. The polenta was ruined by a running mess, also whipped with too much butter(unsalted) with no taste..... I?d say shrimp was the best part of it and sadly it?s because you can?t mess that up. Sent it backand they asked if I wanted pizza instead...I don?t think most people realize the history of that building. I?d be foolish andsay the pizza isn?t somewhat good with a firewood grill and oven....... if you had one good cook he?d make anything come offthat amazing. My mom had gotten the pizza next to me... it was burnt..

My husband and I were greeted by a smiling hostess/waitress. We got there after 5 and got one of the last open tables,; surprised to learn how many people make reservations for dinner here. We started the special soup beef andbarley and Calamari. For dinner we have the grilled chicken sandwich and filet with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The food was delicious came out hot and cooked perfectly. Next time we need to try the pizza in the wood fire oven, theylooked good and a lot of people come for take out. Our waiter was friendly. Service started off great but then dropped off abit as it got more crowded (which is why only 4 stars); not a deterant to not go. It actually makes you engage in conversationlonger, something we don't do enough anymore. As we left we were greeted by the owners who were dining outside, inquiring aboutthe meal. We were more than happy to share our positive experience. So if you are on the way to Ocean City or live in theshore and haven't been, give it a try.

The rib was perfectl... read more This place came highly recommended by an old friend, and I can tell you they didn't disappoint. The short rib and special pizza were great. The rib was perfectly tender and seasoned very well.... Not over seasoned. It's difficult to describe the pizza. It was a nice thin crust with what was clearly very fresh ingredients. The appetizer was the popcorn crab, which doesn't soundlike anything I would order, but upon hearing the description, I took a dive. In short, it was multiple chunks of lump crabmeat with a paper thin breading with light seasoning and a special dipping sauce, which you didn't have to use, but it was good. This is a return joint, and the staff were very welcoming.
