La Locanda Della Via Larga - TRANI

In Trani, we had lunch in La Locanda della via Larga, which is located close to the touristic town center. The food is average. We had lunch in a windowless and dark room !!! Also, several times the circuit breaker did not function well and we were out of light in the room several times. The waiters had to put lights on our tables in order to finish our lunch !!! The staff are overwhelmed and not very smiling. Awful!!!

A warm welcome started the night off well. A great selection of starters and mains. Don’t bother coming if seafood isn’t your thing! We had the house seafood starter followed by grilled mixed seafood, fantastic shell on Scampi and a huge mixed seafood spaghetti! To our waiter Gaetano thank you for your excellent English!

Visited La Locanda twice this year when in Italy and once again cannot fault the excellent service and the meal. Enjoy the food so much I would not even try to visit another restaurant in Trani in case it doesn't match up. The waiter who served us on each occasion is very friendly and welcoming.
