Canadian grapes grow over us – a firm for birds, but not men, our host informed us how we sat on our comfortable high-top. that was the first of many nuggets of... read more Canadian grapes grow over us – a firm for birds, but not men, our host informed us how we sat on our comfortable high-top. that was the first of many nuggets of wisdom that he shared during our relaxing hour or so by aperitivi. the house. wein was delicious – a white wine consisting of black grapes. the owner's demeanor reminded me of the detective dietrich of the TV show barney miller – talk, but on a slow, methodical way. the affetati was of exceptional quality, perfect lean meat as good culatello. the location is great to be of the main course, but still to be observed with many people. we hope to try the pasta!

Almost no one in the streets but a few tourists like our... read more Like most Old Cities , around Puglia , noon time is sleeping time . So Old City Trani is no exception . Almost no one in the streets but a few tourists like ourselves , looking lost in the highnoon heat . So needed...our beer/wine little break . Two tiny tables on the sidewalk Drew our attention : When we entered the cool darkish joint , Mauricio , the owner was about to leave to his daily break on the beach . Surprisingly he agreed to bring us a couple of cold beers . With the beers in our hands , we asked if we can get somthing to chew on . Surprisingly again , he agreed us a couple of pastas . minutes later , we were enjoying the best two Spaguetti a la vongole . Less than an hour later and after a nice chat with Mauricio we departed as good friends : We continued on our discovery tour of Trani , while Mauricio left , riding his scooter to the beach . Surprisingly happy us !! Mind you : Not a gourmet restaurant but rather tasty snacks and pasta , priced normally
