Not a problem, so came at 4.30pm only to fin... read more My husband rang to book early bird only to be told that the only time available is 4.30pm as Vida was fully booked. Not a problem, so came at 4.30pm only to find out that the restaurant is empty, there are only 4 other tables occupied and that's it! Probably, they were fully booked or did not want to serve more as there was only one lady, in black/white top, quite big build there trying to serve those 4 tables.By the time our drinks and next table were taken, it took at least 20 min, as both of us took 2 for £10 offer on cocktails. The couple at one table finished starters and was waiting a while for the plates to be cleared and second course served as well as we were waiting for our food order to be taken as the lady who was serving very slowly was having a good bye conversation with another table who have finished and were going.May be it would have been good for her to let them know that since she was the only one, she needs to attend to the customers but she was not in a rush chatting, while we were there waiting for her to finish.Since the sale of Vida it just lost it's va va voom, great service and ambience, food is still good and of great quality but service has gone down hill for sure. The early bird in next door Borrello and Linguiny are always amazing and great, while on the several occasions we have been, it has been quiet, not welcoming and somewhat cold service.At the end, on the bill we were also charged 2 for £12 for cocktails, not 2 for £10 as advertised, but I said to the lady it might as well be classed as tips, as luckly 2 more younger, much more faster and proactive girls have arrived for about 5pm.Sorry Vida, I think I will give you a miss for a few months and stick to my favourite Linguiny or Borrello, but if and when I come back, I would like to see some improvement

Started off dubious as hadn’t been out on NYE in the evening in recent years and as we were latest reservation I think the team were overwhelmed with the number of customers and a bit on catch up. However our initial reservations soon disappeared. The scallop starter was cooked to perfection and was full of flavour. There was a set menu but as they’d ran out of sirloin steak we were offered ribeye, which was not a disappointment and I’m converted….they were cooked perfectly to order. I managed to stuff in the chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and they kindly put my husband’s in a carton and bag to take away as he was stuffed. We then danced away to see NY in with customers and the Piano team alike. Will definitely be going back. Thank you Piano Team. x
