We recently had an amazing afternoon tea. My daughter had her own children's one with a hot chocolate which she thoroughly enjoyed. Myself and my mum had the best afternoon tea. The staff were so friendly. They treated us like old friends. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend. I'd book as it was very busy. The new owner is doing a fabulous job. What Winstanley101 doesn't like about Scrumptious Tea Room:
As a person with a disability, my husband inquired about accessibility at this restaurant and was given the impression that they did not want customers who were not "normal" as it would be detrimental to their image. He also asked if they wanted to participate in the Wheelchair Scheme in Urmston, but they refused to commit. Ordered this for my friend for her birthday. She absolutely loved it . Said everything was really fresh and lovely. Also, a very pleasant man delivered it! What more could you want.
Had a yummy afternoon tea, given options as to what we wanted, really good selection available and good price too. Really nice that we weren't rushed out ofthe place but just sat and had another drink and a chat

Guys, this place is definitely not closed. It's well and truly open under new management. Follow it on Facebook. The food is fab and very tasty. Real home cooked, not processed. Love it!!
Run by nice staff good breakfast bit expensive yes I would still go back not much parking spaces
