I personally found the food quite watery lately I have been going for years, ever since the price has doubled the food has taken a low this is my opinion bring back cheaper prices and richer food
We absolutely love the food at Samuel’s. Every time it’s excellent. We recommend the poppadoms which are very light, the chicken tikka shaslik, masala sauce, chicken tikka balti, pilau rice and peshwari rice. The chicken is of a very high quality and the portions are generous. In our latest delivery there were also 2 creme eggs attached which was a lovely touch. Thank you.
My husband and I are both vegetarian/ vegan and we love the food from Samuels . The food is always fresh , hot and delicious..the flavours are amazing. I order from here a lot and I am always very pleased with the food and service .
90 minutes late and they kept telling us it was on its way. They didn't seem to care that it was so late and the food was cold.
I got two mains; an alleged butter chicken and a chicken tikka with a pilau rice. I was really disappointed and a bit cross at the butter chicken, as it flipping heck wasn’t a butter chicken, it was a sickly sweet korma chicken, with way far too much cheap white sugar in it. It was a dessert with chicken. It went to the bin. For real butter chicken, the chicken is marinated in lemon juice. No lemon juice was used here. Yoghurt. No yoghurt was used here. Also a mixture of red chilli, salt, garam masala, tomato, butter and ginger/garlic paste are needed none were used here. Just look at the colour of the dish in the photo. The chefs here should go to M&S at the other side of Sale and buy their butter chicken to try, even M&S korma is better than their korma dish. The pilau rice was boiled and it was coloured with turmeric powder. The chicken tikka main was good. The Peshwari nan was ok, but it only had almond paste, no raisins or sultanas, no desiccated coconut or pistachios. Portion sizes were generous but as the quality isn’t there I’ll give it a miss in future. Borderline two stars for portion size and price.
