What User doesn't like about Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop:
Moving to Mountain House and on our moving day, we ordered 7 sandwiches for delivery with 4 drinks, as our kitchen has not yet been equipped. The bill was $160.00 and that was ridiculous. The delivery was made by Doordash or Grubhub (can not remember), but the costs were more acceptable. The food was very good and tasty and this would have been a 5-star review if it was based solely on the quality and taste of the fo... View all feedback.
Always fresh and tasty. They have no issue with modifications or substitutions.
Always good, never soggy. Made and delivered quickly. If you like sandwiches, this is the place.
I am very picky about hoagies since I am originally from back East. I have lived on the peninsuala and now in Tracy. The Mr. Pickles franchise has it all right, no matter the location, I can count on my Italian sandwich bringing me back to the flavors of an East Coast Italian deli hoagie. THANK YOU!!!
On a previous occasion, we ordered two sandwiches, and both were missing many of the ingredients we requested, while also including items we wanted left off. The avocado on both was so brown that we couldn't bring ourselves to eat it—it looked like two-day-old leftovers. Although they remembered to add cranberry sauce this time, I had to dismantle the sandwich to find it, and when I did, it was merely a faint smear that barely coated the center of the bread. This was particularly disappointing since I had paid extra for it. The amount of mustard and mayo was so minimal that calling the sandwich "dry" would be an understatement. After some time, I reluctantly decided to give them another chance on a hot day when we were craving a cold, fresh dinner, hoping the previous experience was a one-off. Unfortunately, it was just as disappointing. The Dutch Crunch roll was stale and flat, resembling bread that hadn’t risen properly, and the corner of my husband’s sandwich was so tough it couldn't be bitten through. The turkey in my Big Jake sandwich was falling apart, looking and feeling more like shredded tuna. When I took some turkey out to examine it, it crumbled between my fingers, and after sampling less than a quarter of the sandwich, I couldn't eat any more after seeing the quality of the meat. Both of these bad experiences occurred within 45 minutes of closing, which makes me wonder if they don't bother to restock with fresh ingredients and instead try to offload what's left at the end of the day. Regardless, I shouldn’t have to pay $14 for a sandwich only to receive subpar quality. It's incredibly disappointing that my favorite sandwich chain has such poor offerings in my area. I gave them 2 stars because I had one good sandwich in the past, and they managed not to forget any ingredients this time. However, after disposing of three out of four sandwiches across two orders, I think two stars is being quite generous.
The best Listen Linda sandwich I've ever had! The turkey and avocado combination is my favorite!
