Pizzeria Costa Smeralda

Food and service aren't good. We ordered a pizza with ham, when we noticed that they brought it without it, the waitress took it, put a couple of raw ham on it that brought it back to the table. Always with a very unfriendly mood....The other pizzas weren't much better. To be honest, the worst pizzeria I've ever been in Germany. Only the views from the terrace are good

We rarely leave feedbacks to Tripadvisor, but this place was so bad that we want to warn other people passing to walk on by this restaurant. We went in this restaurant after a beautiful sunny day spent in Traben Trarbach. I personally did not like...it from outside but as the kids were very hungry and not many other restaurants were around we decided to go in . We sat outside, on a nice view terrace on the river Mosel. However the first look was that the entire place was dirty and neglected. A dog bowl was just left down the table! We ordered pasta dishes which were served cold. One in particular pasta with pesto was very cold so we asked the waiter to check it. The lady waiter brought it back , probably she put it in the microwave for few minutes and served it again. Horrible pasta , pre cooked and only God knows for how many times! The other pasta dishes pasta with butter, Costa Smeralda pasta sauce, Carbonara pasta were simply disgusting and with no salt. In the Carbonara dish, the sauce was clearly mixed with Mayonnaise!! We all left most of the food on the plates , no matter how hungry we were, and we asked quickly for the bill. The lady waiter asked us if we did not like the food, and we replied no sorry we did not. She just said I am sorry and she offered to send us two espresso coffees for free. Few minutes after she came and she said the bill was euros. We paid her and we asked for the receipt before to leave. About minutes after she provided the receipt. Probably she had to build it from scratch. The two coffees were charged each and even more than what it was in the price list . Unbelievable!! Please stay away , this place is a clear scam for tourists. You have been warned

We turned up with a group of people on a Saturday evening and these guys did a great job of looking after us. The staff were fantastically friendly and kept us served with beers and wine at good prices before delivering a wide range...of good pasta and pizza to our hungry family gathering. The portion sizes were extremely generous and I'd recommend them to anybody. Quite frankly I find some of the previous negative comments hard to believe. It's not fine dining but for about a person you can have a good feed and a couple of drinks sitting watching the Mosel go by. What not to like

Me and my partner went there for a quick meal and we were very pleased with the food and the service. Service was quick and very friendly and the food we had was spaghetti alla carbonara and it was brilliant

Having eaten German cuisine constantly for two weeks, we wanted something a little different for once so gave this place a try. Our experience overall wasn't too bad, not earth shattering, but not awful. The place isn't oozing charisma, and the wait staff are at...best, helpful. But the food was reasonable. Having been a party of we had a wide range of the menu ranging from steak, to pizza, to Bologna and lasagna. None of us had any complaints. Personally, my pizza was lovely and I preferred the crunchy vegetables to soggy overcooked ones, it did not feel undercooked, rather it felt fresh. Slightly pricey for what is essentially a pizza parlour, but have eaten worse for much more money
