Waldrop's
Description
A lakeside, family-run diner serves generous, freshly made Southern comfort—standout burgers, onion rings, fried flounder and classic breakfasts like sausage, pancakes and biscuits & gravy. Friendly, welcoming staff and a courtesy dock make it a beloved Hartwell Lake stop; expect homey hospitality, great value and large portions. Service can be inconsistent and meals may run slow during busy times, but Sunday meat‑and‑three and boat access keep locals and visitors coming back.

The cheeseburger was fantastic! The onion rings were excellent as well; my husband, who usually doesn't like onions, absolutely loved them! His fried flounder was cooked to perfection. This is a great hidden gem if you're on Hardwell—dock your boat and take a quick stroll up the hill for a satisfying meal!
I am very satisfied with my experience. The portions are generous at a great price. Everything is made fresh to order, so it may take a little longer to receive your meal during peak times, but it’s definitely worth the wait.
This is an excellent restaurant that I plan to visit every Sunday while I'm at Hartwell Lake. The breakfast is fantastic—definitely order the McAdams sausage! Afterwards, treat yourself to a Sunday brunch featuring the classic Southern "meat and three" option. They also offer lunch and dinner. Be aware that it can get slow during busy times, so just take your time and enjoy the experience.
Situated on Andersonville Rd., Ms. Wanda and her team provide excellent service to their customers. They offer delicious sandwiches and a fantastic Sunday dinner.
