The Strand Cafe & Bar - Townsville

I would like to rate it higher , like 3.5 as I enjoyed the burger and chips for lunch and washed it down with some ice cold local beer. Available on tap or stubbies.Compared to some airport (not large airports) meals this was probably the best I have had. Service was fast and friendly as well.There is a good variety of food and beverages available here so get to the Airport a bit earlier and sit down relax and enjoy a drink or meal before your next flight.

The C-BAR has been on the Strand for as long as there has been sand on the Strand - literally! It is a great place to put up, have a (good, if not crazy

Went here for breakfast, great views across the bay and of magnetic island. Good food, the corn cakes were excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff.

After a disappointing experience, the avocado I ordered turned out to be overripe and the service was less than stellar. I had to ask what “loaded” meant, and the server seemed disinterested. The café only served on one side, with no table service. The music was barely audible, and I felt ignored by the staff. Despite being the only customer, I had to navigate the service counter myself. And to top it off, the avocado was brown and unappetizing, especially considering the high price of $23. I have never received such poor service and quality in all my years. I would not recommend this place, and for a better dining experience, I suggest waiting to eat at the airport lounge.
