The Pier - Townsville

It was Valentine's Day and I made a mistake by not booking a dinner reservation, which was our first Valentine's Day together! Lily and her team were able to find us a table by the window with a view of the water, which was a great start to our evening. We opted for the four-course meal and I was amazed by the high quality and delicate flavors of the dishes. As a chef of 20 years, I had high expectations for the food and service, and I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left the fantastic ambiance they had created. The food was exceptional, showcasing a talented and experienced kitchen team who have perfected every detail of the menu choices. The Pier is truly a five-star restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates top-notch food and service.

We spent our last night in Townsville dining at The Pier. We were fortunate to have a wonderful table on the deck, with plenty of space between tables. The view overlooking the marina and city lights was beautiful. When we requested to move to the deck, the staff happily accommodated us. The drink selection was impressive and delicious, and the food was fantastic. However, it was the exceptional service from the wait staff that really stood out to us. They were knowledgeable and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent, the view was stunning, but it was the outstanding staff that truly made our night unforgettable. Great job to the team at The Pier!

We have visited this restaurant twice now for special occasions and we cannot find any faults. The views are breathtaking, the staff is excellent and friendly, and the food is incredible! My partner ordered the hot and cold seafood platter for one, which he said was the best seafood he has ever had. The vegetarian options are also very good; I have tried both the curry and the pasta and cannot decide which one I like more. Make sure to leave room for dessert as you will not be disappointed!

An excellent venue to dine at especially for treating a loved one. My friend and I selected here for our third anniversary and we're so happy we did. The food was well presented and the taste of the prepared sauces etc were to die for. The servings are food are also very generous for the quality of food. I received a huge rib for my meal with a baked potato and sauce with a few greens. We paid just under $140 and we both had an entree, main and dessert. If you're new to Townsville or just visiting I would highly recommend this restaurant.
