Contribute Feedback What April McClure likes about Relish Cafe:
I had breakfast at Relish twice during a business trip, the food is very good with fresh produce and lots of gluten free options. While I was having breakfast I saw the chef come out to get herbs from the planter box, you don't get any fresher than that. The staff are friendly, they were very happy to customise my order and cater to my fussy requirements (crispy bacon, soft eggs, weak tea!) my order was taken with a... View all feedback.
What Jerônimo Roque doesn't like about Relish Cafe:
A good place to have late lunch break near Townsville Train Station, approx half km, 10-12 min walks distance. We grab gourmet pie, sausage roll and muffin, and coffee. Located as a part of shopping mall and apartment, on the main road to the train station. All nice and good. View all feedback.
Had coffee here every morning and the staff were always friendly and made a great Latte. Breakfast was very tasty and well priced
Ordered $17.50 French Toast and coffee. French toasted was literally layered in Cinnamon. Could not eat. Bacon on the side (2 free sides apparently) was actually slimy with maple it was so undercooked. Coffee was slightly warmer than daughters milkshake. Daughters waffles were doughy and undercooked. No cream, no ice-cream. Big hunks of rockmelon and honeydew on the side. What a complete bogus turnout. Check out my $17:50 French toast - remembering they weee generous and gave me 3 serves of bacon. I can buy a kilo of bacon for less than $15. All that you see was left on the plate. I had tried one bite of toast and a piece of bacon. Couldn't drink the coffee. Thanks for nothing. Will NEVER go back. BTW. HAD to choose a rating or I could not submit. Chose 1 because it wouldn't let me do a ZERO!!!!!

I only had coffee and cake for this visit after going to the movies at the nearby cinema but next visit will be lunch!! The menu and food looked fabulous with what appeared to be generous serves (looked at what other people were eating!!) I liked the idea that where possible the food was sourced from local suppliers and that most of the meals were prepared in-house. Enjoyed my coffee and passionfruit slice and picked up their loyalty card. No steps or stairs so good for those with limited mobility. The only draw-back is the outdoor eating area. Only a small area is indoors and therefore air-conditioned. It was quite warm and windy on the day of my visit. No amenities at the shop but a toilet is available within the complex. Definitely on my list for a re-visit, this time for, possibly, the club sandwich.
We had a Surprise Birthday Party for 37 people at Relish on Saturday afternoon. Heather and the team made everything so easy for us. They were flexible with the menu and planning and the event was a great success - despite being planned sight unseen, from Brisbane! The food was delicious and service attentive. There was a beautiful range of fruit platters, sandwiches, savouries, sweets and tea & coffee. The piece de resistance was a delicious chocolate birthday cake with butter cream icing. The price was very reasonable and I would highly recommend their cafe and catering.
