Aussie Thai Fusion - Townsville

I have been to this restaurant twice now and I absolutely love the food. I always order the Thai spicy dish and it never disappoints. The pork dish is also wonderful.

I went to Aussie Thai Fusion for a Prawn Laksa. I was hungry and the first few bites were enjoyable but different, as the broth was sweet. I decided to continue eating, but soon realized that the base of the soup tasted like sugary water. I removed all the broccoli and cauliflower from the dish as they did not complement it well; I would have preferred Asian vegetables or Bok Choy. The prawns were decent and there were plenty of them, but overall, the Laksa was not worth the price. I do not plan to dine at Aussie Thai Fusion again. The staff was friendly and the service was good.

The restaurant was clean and decent, but very crowded. There were only 3 tables inside, and the lighting outside could use improvement at night. The food was okay, with a more western influence rather than being a fusion restaurant. If you're looking for authentic spicy Thai food, you may want to try another place. The service was good and quick, despite it being busy.

Amazing eating, great authentic Thai flavor suitable for Australian palate. can be very spicy if preferred as me. the couple that runs the load is always friendly and welcoming
