We visited this restaurant while staying in a cottage in Wears Valley, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The exterior may not look like much, but the food is absolutely fantastic! Everything we ordered was spot-on, and the service was excellent as well. I had a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, which was a delightful change from my usual French dressing, and for my main course, I chose the sirloin steak with asparagus. My husband ordered the salmon with corn, and it was equally perfect. Be sure to leave room for dessert! If we ever return to this area, we will definitely come back to this restaurant.

The burger was topped with potatoes, American cheese, blue cheese, and came with sides. I ordered my burger medium, and it was cooked to perfection. This was hands down the best burger I've had in Townsend—juicy and thick, served on a fresh bun. The combination of the potatoes and cheese was fantastic. The chili was rich and hearty, topped with cheddar cheese, and it had a great balance of meat and beans. This restaurant is truly excellent, and the staff were outstanding. Our meal was thoughtfully packaged, and everything we ordered was included, with our special requests taken into account. The food and service at Trailhead were exceptional. I highly recommend visiting this local gem in Townsend!

When my steak was served a bit colder than expected, the staff quickly resolved it by offering me a freshly made replacement. The service was top-notch, and it’s evident that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Our waitress, Daniel, was outstanding—truly a world-class server. I also want to highlight the cleanliness of the restaurant. I believe that a clean bathroom often reflects the overall hygiene of an establishment, and this one was spotless. With a great crowd enjoying their meals, I'm truly impressed by the standards here. Overall, I wholeheartedly give this place 5 stars. Bravo!
