What Tom Vaillancourt doesn't like about Panera Bread:
My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch. We had never been there before. We ordered 2, pick 2. Hers was a cup of soup and a sandwich. Mine was a bowl of soup and a salad. Her cup and my bowl of soup was the same amount of soup with one exception. Minecame with a short, black curly hair. Never again. View all feedback.

The food is wonderful and the location is convenient. The team members working there are also incredibly kind and helpful. However, more often than not, particularly lately, our orders have been wrong. This has included wrong items, missing items, andeven things like sandwiches missing the meat that they're supposed to come with. At this point, we've gone from regulars atPanera to treating it like a last resort.
I 've never seen a cheaper company in my life. I like the food, even though it 's overpriced. Like, ridiculously overpriced. MAYBE their sandwiches are worth the money, but the soup and salad?! Give me a break. And their rewards program is thebiggest joke in the world. It takes FOUR separate orders just to get a $2 off coupon for a You Pick 2 and that coupon can ONLYbe redeemed if you pick up the order from the store. You can 't get your whopping $2 discount if you 're ordering delivery, EVENif you 're ordering through their app! Because they use DoorDash for their delivery that 's apparently the reason. But that makesno sense. It 's like, just discount me through YOUR app. I 'm not ordering through the damn DoorDash app, I 'm ordering through thePanera app! And you 're just forwarding the delivery order to DoorDash. It 's just... dumb. And cheap. And did I mentioncheap? But yea, sure. The food is good.
Recently, I canceled my sip club membership because this location is FREQUENTLY not open for breakfast due to staffing issues. Because I?m only in the area on the weekends (and rare holiday weekdays) it has become increasingly rare that I can order myabsolute favorite breakfast soufflé. This morning, after calling ahead a hold request, I arrived to learn my soufflé had beenthrown out. So now, I?ll finish my morning errands on an empty stomach because I?m not ordering something else that isn?t what Iwanted. I wish this location could get it together. Panera has great food.

The counter person taking orders was not versed in customer service. She wasn't rude in any way, just unresponsive. Shehardly said one word. Then I had to bring back my order twice because there were mistakes. And all it was, was a scrambled eggand bacon on a bagel. But they fixed the order both times and the woman who appeared to be the manager even offered me a freechocolate chip cookie to make up for the problems. So if you like bakery items and food developed in a corporate boardroom, with chaos ensuing when there's any request that doesn't coincide with the standardized menu items, Panera is your place.
