The food was great and my fiance loved that they had hot barley tea. The soon dubu and the spicy pork was great as was the bibimbop. Will definitely eat here again! View all feedback.
Getting to perfection. Good and even very good at times.
Pretty good! Small place but pretty crowded. We had to wait about 10 minutes. We had the combo of beef bulgogi and tofu soup, and a tteokbokki
Food is definitely good but overpriced. No complaints other than that.
My friend and I caught up over a delicious meal here! I picked the mushroom sundubu and she picked the tteokbokki both portions were mighty generous. We were seated promptly despite a busy Sunday lunch crowd and our food came swiftly after ordering. The handsome waiter pulled the smoothest move ever by taking my card after I asked to pay for my table (when my friend was in the bathroom) then when she fought for the bill, he took her card too and normalcy returned. But then he returns moments later with the bill on my card! Deeeefinitely smooth and saved us the growing Asian debacle of who's paying LOL. I forgot to take his name but he was the one with the light brown wood colored glasses bravo.
I had beef soft tofu and kimchi stone pot bibimbap. When I first walked in, I was skeptical because there were so many foreigners, but the ratings were good so I decided to visit, but I was very disappointed. I've had soft tofu stew many times at restaurants named Sogong-dong, but this is the first time I've had soft tofu that wasn't as basic as this. There was no chili oil and the soft tofu itself did not taste fresh. The seasoning was also a bit fusion-style and ambiguous. The kimchi stone pot bibimbap was more expensive at around $18, so I was shocked when I received it. The only ingredients included were zucchini, shiitake mushrooms, a bit of broccoli, kimchi (even though it was bibimbap, and unexpectedly huge pieces of green onion... , and fried egg. There was too much red pepper powder in the kimchi, so it wasn't for bibimbap, it was just spicy. The quality was so bad that I couldn't understand why they were charging $18, and I felt bad while eating it, so I didn't want to tip, so I left $1. As we were about to leave in the car, an employee came out, looked at us, and then went in. I don't think I'll ever go again. Whether or not there are a lot of Koreans in a Korean restaurant seems to be an important indicator. However, the side dishes and rice were delicious. It was a shame that the main menu wasn't that good.
