Great inexpensive place for breakfast and lunch. Great breakfast bowls and lunch sandwiches. Easy, clean, plenty of seating, good coffee. Don't expect super friendly which surprises me if you go there often, but well worth it. View all feedback.

The new kid in town is a casual breakfast and lunch spot in what used to be the local market and deli. The ambience is great, the people are welcoming, and the food is good. Baked goods come from elsewhere and are limited, but what they have is good. The issue, for me, is that every meal is served in a basket on waxed paper. That's great for sandwiches but not so much for breakfast fried or scrambled eggs on paper? Not good after just a few minutes. Utensils are plastic. I'm going to guess there are water or septic limitations they're trying to work with, but soggy paper is kind of off putting, and all that plastic waste seems really tone deaf in 2021. I hope they figure out another answer.
My wife and I ate here for lunch and breakfast this past weekend. Just a great vibe in this place: Friendly staff, fast service and really good food. A great mix of locals and the occasional tourist. The cheesesteak was especially good. Browse the store for all sorts of items to buy from maple syrup to a variety of art. The bagels near the cash register are also amazing! We will be back the next time we're in Franklin.
Had to check out the new deli in town, which used to be Dawn's Deli. It has been completely renovated and the space is much more open. It even has a private room in the back now. It is brightly painted and has huge floor to ceiling windows in the front that bring in a lot of light. There are some local goods for sale, a small selection of grocery staples, and artwork for sale on one wall. There are a few tables and booths for indoor dining. The menu is written on the wall next to the counter which includes breakfast selections, sandwiches, salad, and kids. The fancy handwriting is a little hard to read. Average prices range from $4 11 (see photo). The breakfast is served until 11am (tried to order a breakfast item in the afternoon, but menu did not indicate times for breakfast or lunch). We ordered 3 sandwiches to try and the famous local Clark's chocolate milk. You can customize the sandwiches with bread type, meat, and cheese. There was a little confusion during the ordering, understandable since they just opened and getting the hang of things. Everything I saw was being served in takeout boxes. We got the reuben, corned beef club, and roast beef hero. The club sandwich was stacked so high it took me a minute to figure out how to take a bite! The ingredients were fresh and on nice bread, but I realized later on that it didn't have any mayo which would have made for a more moist sandwich. There was a little mix up with the roast beef hero we had actually asked for a roast beef club, but on a hero roll (we noticed the sandwich didn't have bacon). They must have thought we ordered a regular hero. The roast beef wasn't pink in the middle, but still had good flavor. My favorite sandwich was the corned beef reuben, but I only got a bite before handing off to my dad. They all came with housemade potato chips which were excellent. The staff were friendly but busy. Food didn't take too long but it gave us enough time to browse the rest of the shop.
