Stopped here for lunch which was perfect. We loved the indoor plants used as the main decor and the slightly shabby chic appearance. The toasted sandwiches were a great stop gap. Service came with a smile. View all feedback.
What Jane Doe doesn't like about A Corner Of The World:
My visit to Portugal reminded me of the delicious pasteis de Belem and the overall charm - after a much needed break, a visit to a cafe was essential. It was a pleasure to meet up with a blogger friend at a Portuguese cafe in Bethnal Green. View all feedback.
My first visit to this restaurant was great, with excellent staff and delicious food. However, every visit since then has been disappointing. They have items on their menu that they are unable to provide, such as the mushroom sourdough toastie (The Funghi) that never has any mushrooms in it. This has happened multiple times now. While I am usually informed before I make a purchase, today they took my payment and then left me waiting outside in the cold before informing me. Instead of offering an immediate refund, a very rude woman spoke to me and seemed unsure of what alternative options were available. I was offered either 'meat' or 'I think it's tomato', but I chose not to wait for a mystery sandwich. I understand that ingredients may run out and that weekends can be busy, but I do not understand why a paying customer would be treated with such rudeness.
This small but charming restaurant in Shoreditch is a hidden gem. It offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a quick meal or a relaxing tea and reading session. The food here is a fusion of flavors, which perfectly defines the unique dining experience at this establishment.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with lots of plants, but it can get crowded quickly due to its small size. Despite a small mistake with our order, they were quick to rectify it by offering us a free custard tart. The food and coffee were both delicious.

This coffee shop is fantastic, down-to-earth, and exactly what you need! They don't provide take-out cups, so remember to bring your own. The ventilation could be improved during the recent heat wave, although it may not be as much of an issue in London.
