Contribute Feedback What Nancy Côté likes about Pizza Papa:
Saved on the gong in our desperate quest to find a restaurant with room. Thanks to Estelle for hosting us lately. We ate very well and especially enjoyed Estelle's kindness and humour which should be converted into the stand up! She misses her vocation. View all feedback.
What Alda Berge doesn't like about Pizza Papa:
I loves me a good chèvre chaud salad. One of my faves. So, after reading the last review I went here for lunch. The chèvre was good and, wrapped as it was in Parma ham (and then pan seared), it was excellent. The rest of the salad, unfortunately was bland. Chèvre chaud needs a stand-out dressing to match the flavour (not a lot of it - just something with good flavour). Unfortunately the dressing here was really bland... View all feedback.
The list of pizzas was strange, all weird stuff, and very few of the ‘traditional French pizza’ choices. But they have a ‘choose your ingredients’ menu item. Ok, go for that, but then, they do not list the ingredients to choose from!! And they screwed up our order. We were quite clear on the kid’s pizza, repeated it because the waitress seemed confused. It was only 3 ingredients , the way he likes it. We repeated the list again, “nothing else, just that, no spices, nothing extra, just base, ham and cheese …” and still they screwed it up, all we wanted was 3 ingredients… They added olives and spices… the kid saw these and refused to eat it…During this wait the waitress broke a glass on our table, ok accidents happen, was not upset about that, they cleaned the table, took my beer and glasses etc. No big deal. Except I had to ask 3 times to get a new beer. Finally after the 3rd request they gave me a 3/4 replacement!! OK it was ¾ full when they took it away, but just how cheap are they?It took a very long time to deliver 2 pizzas, like 30+ minutes in not quite full restaurant (still 3 tables free just within my vision). So having taken 30 minutes to get this and already annoyed we had to debate how to handle this kid's pizza.I thought the pizza itself tasted delicious, thick crust, but I love thick crust pizza. My wife did not and so picked at her half, and we had to coax the kid into eating parts of his pizza that were not touched by olives or spices… When paying the hostess asked if everything was fine, was about to say no, but she did not wait for the answer before telling me the total for the bill. So what is the point. She obviously did not care what I thought. When we got home my wife headed straight for the bathroom while I waited my turn….Too bad. I love that style of pizza, but the horrible service and bathroom needs afterwards, I will not go back.
Underdone pizza with the smallest piece of mozzarella on top and a pre-prepared salmon salad with very dodgy guacamole in a pot which looked 2 days old. Avoid
I popped in here on my first night in Toulouse and were accepted without any issues even though we're had got there pretty late. We managed to get through ordering with both our broken French and the waitresses broken English. The pizzas very nice and we managed to change some of the toppings on the pizzas that were on the menu with no problem or charge. The waiters & waitresses that serves us we're very friendly, we were even provided with free limoncello shots after our meal which was nice.
Pizzas tasty; salad delicious; service helpful & friendly; reasonable prices; close to main centre next to Jeanne d'arc. Would revisit
Visited at lunch time, restaurant was empty but thought still give it a go. The mixed platter to start was good, good value too. We shared a large pizza which was mediocre, the crust had a biscuit taste to it. Although quiet in the restaurant, service was slow. Doubt will visit again.
