We love l'Emperor de Hue. The quality of the cooking is excellent. The portions are just right. The service is very good, although one young server is in training. The décor is calm and pleasant. Of course, the prices run high, similar to Le Bibent. View all feedback.
Original asian food, healthy and tasty in very nice environment, excellent service, but a bit on the expensive side...
I can pay a lot for a great meal. And at Hue in Toulouse, you really do get a good meal and great service, so it is harsh to give 3 of 5 points. It is really almost impossible to notice when you pass it, and I like that. It is a little too dark inside, but cozy. And for my friend, to view the golden dressed well adult woman on the neighbouring table with golden shoes and bag, was a beautiful experience for her. The food is good, but standard Vietnamese fair in Europe. Beautifully tender meat, but we nowadays need more details and/or surprises to pay 26 € for the main of the day and 16 for the starter of the day in a Vietnamese restaurant. The cheap once in Oslo are much more home cooking as I feel this should be, if one is not going towards a gourmet style cooking and presentation. The wine though was a beautifully dark colored, smoky tasting red from Fronton, Le Roc, based on 70% Negrette grapes that almost only grows there, brought there from Cyprus by the Crusaders. But great service and food.

I've been making excuses to visit Toulouse for several years now in order to eat here - it's simply the finest Vietnamese food I've been able to find outside Vietnam (and I can only think of a handful even in Hanoi or Saigon that are as good - perhaps only one that's better!). Not cheap (by typical Franco-Oriental standards) but no more pricey than any other serious restaurant in a major city, say 120-130 Euros for two. Vert elegant decor to match the sophisticated presentation of the food
Small and cozy Vietnamese Restaurant in Toulouse. The food is magnificient and very well presented. The service is very professional. Menu is a bit limited but specials are also offered. Products are very fresh. As a tip, make reservations since it tends to be pretty full.JLT
