Contribute FeedbackLe Pyrénéen is one of the oldest brasserie in Toulouse. Their menu is typical of what you would expect in a brasserie. My favorite being "variation de crustacés", "boudin et andouillette " and as a desert "crêpe à la grecque". The staff is great and some of the waiters have been working there for over 30 years. One of my favorite places in the World. Going there after watching a movie at the nearby old theater is amazing.
One night in Toulouse and chose this restaurant as we had walked past it so many times and it always looked very inviting. Staff were very helpful with the menu translation and the special on the board were very interesting. If you want something a little bit different then this is for you, even though it is a bit more expensive than a few restaurants in the area. Portion size is big so value for money when you see what you get. Not great for the "as you wait menu" very expensive for a very basic plate of food, apart from the pate but it was a very cheap fatty and not what I would recommend, stick to the starters if you are having anything to start. Mains a re very good no what matter what came out. Unusual choices which was very interesting to see what everyone else got. But I stayed with the Duck and it was perfectly cooked as I was expecting a lot of blood on the plate but they did do it to my liking. Deserts were reasonable, pastry and a choice of home made deserts. Would go back again when in Toulouse as enjoyed the meal!
Traditional French cafe/restaurant with standards French fare. The menu will challenge the traditional American palate: don't be afraid - the food is wonderful!
Went here for lunch. They do not accept reservations so head here just after midday for a good seat and no disappointment. Have the oysters as they are delicious. We had the Toulouse saucisson and the sardines to follow. And also had the prawns flambé with whiskey. All was very nice and had some nice wine to accompany it all. Great for a seafood lunch with a nice white wine. Not far from the main square. Service was friendly and attentive. Mostly locals here. Definitely recommend.
Incredible place, great ambiance, delicious fresh seafood. All prepared perfectly. If you're craving seafood in Toulouse, this is the best option. It always crowded because it great.
