I have been here twice for dinner. The meat is good and also the service. It is possible to order a menu where you can choose one starter one main dish and a dessert for 22 or 25 euro. As starter, I recommend the mozzarella with salad dried tomatoes and pesto. Menu available also in English. View all feedback.
What Capucine Gregoire doesn't like about La Cote Et L'arete:
I went there with my brother and we were seated very quickly. The starter came prompt and it was really good. The problem was that our main took about one hour after we ordered it and in the meantime we saw a couple of desserts being offered to different tables, no one seemed to have ordered that. When the food came it was well cooked and very good, but it did really put us off. I don't think I will go again, especia... View all feedback.
We had a very tasty dinner here. the only American bark in the restaurant came in the surf and razor meal. it met our requirements for a good American steak. the waiters and waiters were very friendly and attentive. in any case back here!
So this place sits on a busy road. And that is possibly the only thing which lets it down. It was easy to find, and we stumbled across it because our usual favourite place in Toulouse was closed. We were able to sit outside on...a nice summer evening and overall we had a great time. Staff were exceptionally welcoming. They provided English menus and kept checking with us to make sure we were satisfied. Four of us enjoyed the three course menu euro extra for entrecote steak. My starter was a goats cheese salad which was fabulous. My main was a steak, cooked perfectly rare like I had asked accompanied by wonderful skin on fries. There were obviously other choices including fish and chicken. We all loved our steak however ! Desert was equally as good and we enjoyed creme brulee, again with other choices available including chocolate mousse. I would definitely return here again. For the value and service received it was a wonderful experience.
Learn that we had to wait until pm for dinner, we got smart, eat a late lunch so we didn't starve in just a few blocks down from our airbnb was the main drag that had many restaurants options. After we looked at the menus, we settled here. all caffes have their own “hook” and this was meat. we have settled on drinks that walk past the appetizers and went straight to the escapes. the woman had a nice steak, cooked beautiful and rare (the franzosen get this) and I enjoyed a fully grilled duck breast (yum). both plates came with unlimited frits and salat. their choice of fry sauce on the side. we followed the meat with chocolate mousse and espresso. the waiter was very helpful and we enjoyed our roadside very much. recommended
Look for dinner in a cozy atmosphere? don't look further. whether they sit inside or outside, enjoy a warm autumn evening, alone, as a family or friends, this is a great place to try out. the staff is polite and very attentive, the restaurant is in the mid price and offers menus in English. the steak was of very good quality tender, well seasoned and melted in her mouth. fries mixed with garlic butter? yes, please! chocolate mousse for dessert?
The place is well known for its matured beef, which is excellent! When they have it. I went there with a table of 7 on a Saturday night, and none was left as the only cut the matured beef on Mondays...We made a reservation for 9:30pm as they stop serving at 10:30pm. We arrived 5-10 min late as a couple members of the party was trying to park, but there was no problem there. The girl that served us was nice and compressive. As there were no matured beef, 4 of us turned to the today special burger, mushroom sauce and cheese. When they arrived, one of them (mine) was different, but the waiter that delivered it didn't tell me anything. After mumbling a bit and asked the waiter why is mine with no cheese while all others were with. So he sent it back to the kitchen were they added a single slide of a different cheese on top of my burger and placed it under a heater to make it melt. Turning my rare steaks into medium/well-done steaks. That was totally unprofessional and not what to expect from that place. I refused to eat the burger and as a commercial gesture they didn't make pay for it. Plus the offered me a digestive drink, although I had only a few fries to digest. And to complete the poor quality of the kitchen that day, the 2 plates of salmon ordered at my table was served warmish/cold and had to be warmed up again. That was really a bad night but for having been there before I know this place is better than that. I just hope that cook gets a wake up call or gets out of the kitchen.
