Very very nice place, excellent food and great prices. The best chivito in Toulouse (yo soy Uruguayo y lo valido) The service was also incredible, they really have good people working there. Oh and they play great music. What else do you need??? View all feedback.
What Gilbert Roger doesn't like about El Chivito:
Didn't know where to eat and came across this place. They have Paulaner draft beer and a very nice selection of dishes, we shared a plate for two at a very affordable price (26€) which filled us up.It was quite nice though a bit greasy, don't go there if you're on a diet! The place is nice and very original, the waiter was very sweetThe washrooms would need a little TLC. View all feedback.
Nice food, although some portions can be quite small. Cocktails are quite nice and go well with the food. Service was alright, but not the most present in the room not next to the one with the bar so a bit slow sometimes
I've been here many time, I always come back for the choripan which is really good. I find it kind of expensive though, 10 euros but worth it. I've also tried the nachos and there are not so wow and the chivito leo is not as good as the choripan
I went to El Chivito because I wanted to show my friends how the argentinian/uruguayan food tastes like. I heard an unfavorable comment but I decided to give it a try based on TripAdvisor qualification and comments. The food was not satisfying... the entrecote too cooked (and I am argentinian and we tend to eat well done or middle rare!) and tasteless. The Chivito d'entrecote, on the contrary, almost raw, full of tendons and impossible to eat in a sandwich.Nevertheless, the nachos by far the best ones I have ever tried, but they're just nachos. The chimichurri is good, as well as the tropical fruit juices. They put lemon in the Fernet-cola, not common at all but OK... the problem is that the lemon had still the sticker on the skin!!My friends were quite disappointed, as well as me.The personnel is friendly, though.
I'm not used to Latin American food and didn't expect to eat it in France, but this little place took our eye and seemed busy so we thought we'd give it a try. Glad we did, very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. The waiter was worked off his feet but always had a smile. We were on holiday but this is obviously a popular place with the locals.
Hassan in charge of hosting and cooking both served with a smile on his face and great food :-) Traveling together through many cities have we found such a nice home cooked feeling and yet being an Argentine - these portions were definitely sized for Argentine men! (Ie super large and tasty). Hassan was not only helpful with the food but also with recommendations for seeing sights in Toulouse. Thanks for a nice start to our short stay in the heart of this lovely city.
