Balthazar - Toulouse

If you are looking for a fantastic evening in a nice restaurant, not too noisy with fantastic food: this is the place to go!

One chef and one waiter who didn't speak English, but used his phone to translate the menu for us. No fawning or grovelling, but he was helpful. There were only three mains and we tried two of them. Both were wonderful. Come here if it's the food you're interested in.

We started out holiday with a meal at Balthazar - tipped by our son. We had a really good meal - original style, local products, well cooked and very reasonably priced. I would love to go back there.

Last week I had the pleasure of eating lunch as this little atmospheric place. The young lady who served me and the chef were both delightful and clearly interested in their menu. The French customers around me seemed very content. The food was original and they served quality produce and wine and could discuss its origin. My soup, a dish I do not normally chose was scrumptious, and my main and some of the other dishes I saw looked great.

Great food in a nice place with familiar athmosphere! We suggest at least once...we use to have dinner at least once per month to try new dishes...always an indimenticabile esperiencr
