atypical and beautiful, there should be a lot more places like that. I don't know what's festive, maybe just the medieval atmosphere? food, drinks and impeccable service, wait to come back! View all feedback.
If you like wild food, this place is for you. We had a few plates (black pork and deer) and they were really delicious. That kind of delicious that will leave you satisfied in the stomach and in the soul. Also a great thanks to the waiter who altough not speaking english made his best to let understand us what was the plates about!
My friend and I visited just before closing one evening and we're both vegetarian. As vegetarians this restaurant was a fairly unusual chose, but having looked at the menu earlier in the day we decided that the vegetarian options were really interesting. Whilst being presented with the menus, we were advised that they'd ran out of the (only) vegetarian main course. After explaining our position, the waiter returned from the kitchen explaining that the chef would 'create' additional dishes for us. The service we received was fantastic, beyond what would ordinarily be expected. In addition the food did not disappoint, it was an array of colours and flavours rounded off with a fine glass of Mead! All the staff are to be commended on the high level of service shown to us; charming, friendly and VERY accommodating! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Having skipped breakfast I was the first one to kick the door at noon. I found the place on tripadvisor and I wanted to try out the place. After getting in I was offered a new list.. of various kinds of cold cuts etc. After some very nice conversation (me in my poor French and he in his pretty good English) I ended up with a platter of different things & some house wine. I just could not help liking the manager. Really nice guy in a short of honest way. Kudos to his way of managing the place. The platter was fantastic! Absolutely fantastic. I ate and became a happy meat loving man :-) for dessert I chose Café Gourmat. This was one of the best I have had for a long time. 30 euros was my check and I consider that a great value.I cannot recommend this place enough to do justice. Go and eat there and enjoy the trip to medieval times, very good food and warm and excellent service. Wow, what a place.
Outstanding and exciting tastes! Robust and oldstyle, but with a modern fusion touch. Super-enthusiastic and serviceminded waitor who cared for both the food and the guests. Not expensive. Nice location in a small alley. Definitely recommended.
This was delicious and inventive food, well prepared. The waiter was charming friendly and helpful. Good value - highly recommended.
