A real surprise!. If you 're visiting this beautiful city, then you have to stop and relax in this very affordable restaurant! Placed in the middle of the old town, a short walk from the old market down Mostowa Street, turn second right, and you 'll see a sign protruding from the building... you 'd never know it was there... and you 'd miss out! A dark, very atmospheric restaurant offers you a selection of main courses laid out in a well lit 'bain marie '. Even better, the knowledgeable staff explain what you see in front of you in english and allow you to ask questions and not rush you. The cost of the main course includes your choice of meat, gravy, vegetables and potatoes all at a set price hard to beat. Portions are typically Polish, huge! It 's clear why it is a bit of a secret for tourists unless they stumble upon it, but the locals and students know a good deal and it has steady trade throughout the day. A good selection of drinks are available covering a wide spectrum of tastes. I have visited the place on a number of occasions and it has never failed to please. An important factor often missed out in Polish restaurants... the washroom facilities... in this case clean and well maintained! Make sure you give this restaurant a visit!
