bar located inside the pancake market has a wide variety of tapas we have eaten some squids and sticks of lobster was fresh but reheated in the microwave since they can't make bony food is fine but not hot if you expect them to do it at the moment they won't do it because it's done everything but it's worth visiting it. Small bar restaurant cafe in the Mercat in Tortosa that also has tables outside. Friendly staff with great and local food options think artichoke tortilla, fried artichokes, eggplant tortilla and eel in a slightly spicy sauce from the Ebre Delta. Plus lots of other Spanish favourites done well bacalao a pil pil, fried bacalao, hand cut ham, buñuelos de bacalao, different types of croquetas etc. Their potato tortilla is the hugest I have ever seen and is delicious. All washed down with good coffee, cold beer, local vermut and wine and a smile!
Wonderful indoor food market in the center of Tortosa.Bar Ester is the place to view and try mouth watering tapas with a cold beer. Seating outside where you can sit under a parasol and enjoy the Catalan lifestyle.
Although Tortosa is a little off the beaten track it is well worth the visit, around an hour by rail from Salou. Before we started our visit to the historic area we visited Bar Esther in the Market hall for coffee and received a very friendly welcome. Impressed by the selection of tapas etc so decided to head back for lunch. Tasted very fresh tapas from their extensive menu and can highly recommend.
Tenian mucha gente, aun así nos sirvieron perfectamente .comimos los pastisets típicos de tortosa de cabello de angel.
Bocata de calamares espectacular..... Pero todas las tapas tienen una pinta estupenda. !!!!
