Last week, my wife and I, we had a dinner in this restaurant. We had a delicious food and a superb local wine. The stuff very professional. The location unique... amoung olive trees boucanvillae with a beautiful scent of gelsomini flowers, from its terracce amazing view. The title reflects my feeling all night. We begin by saying that the place is obviously wonderful. outside and even inside, even if there is a small job to work. food is of good quality, generous and well prepared portions. adequate prices. So? You don't understand if it's a braking or really unconscious management. waiting times for good food, but then the crockery breams stand in front for half an hour. The waiter approaches for no reason. appetizer not available....but there is only one in the menu! spatch (of fish) in the menu, but the waiters admitted never to see anyone order it and in fact . was not available. It's very limited. wine paper near zero in terms of variety. ice not available. great, very big, huge uncertainty and approximation in the explanation of the dishes (make on wines)I guess a place of gold, but managed as I could manage it I do not do this job. But why? What a shame, but is that a choice? Don't you want too much trouble? Come on, guys! You know how to do good things, you have a fabulous place, a magnificent view. Try pushing a little on the accelerator. Come on, two appetizers, two first and two seconds more, they don't ruin you. not in that wonderful place I will try to come back and find out that I was wrong. soon and anyway congratulations: you can see that you put (almost) all. s.
Restaurant recommended by friends to fry fi excellent fish. you choose between half a meter or a meter of frying fish. We got a couple. frying is good of goto and light but anyway I recommend not to take anything before because it is really abundant. as an aperitif in the wait we took a drink of decotta fruit made by them really great. We took it in an alcoholic version but recommend it in the alcoholic version. the location is beautiful, relaxing with a view on the praia in the sea and dove. The staff is kind. waiting times are relaxed but not exaggerated

If you are around this lovely part of italy, do not miss to go eat dinner at il Vecchio Frantoio . Especially if you are an international tourist and you really want to discover the goodies of the region! It is the restaurant associated with the hotel Pian delle Vigne. While I will not talk about the hotel as I have not stayed there myself, I have nothing but compliments to give the restaurant. Location: it is a bit out of town, on top of the hill... overviewing the whole bay (Policastro Gulf . The vista is just breath taking.... and you dine among flowers and fruit trees in a very warm and romantic ambience. Staff: very agreable and charming, they will do all they can to make you feel at home! One great addition, the maitre d 'hotel speaks fluently english, french and german (which is quite something in Italy . He also knows the region like his pocket and can guide you or advice you to where to go and what to do. The food: well let me separate it in two categories as the restaurant is also pizzeria. I would encourage everyone not to take the pizza, not because they 're not good, but because the other specialties are just too AMAZING to pass on. For both restaurant and pizzeria, the ingredients are chosen fresh from the morning, the selection of cheese and vegetables is incredible... and the seafood is just WOW! Pizzeria: It is the absolute real napolitan pizza, which has a very thin crust and is a bit soggy by definition. I personally am not a fan of the napolitan pizza but that 's just personal taste. But even at that, I tried it there and I have to say the ingredients are just so so fresh, the pizza has an incredible smell that makes your mouth water!! Restaurant: It 's specialties from the region... and the cook is fantastic. Have seafood while you 're there... it 's the best... it 's coming right from the sea across and it 's so fresh... Don 't hesitate to each take something different and then try a bit of everything. It is well worth it. There is also a great selection of wine and the owner knows a lot about it and can advice you. The prices are very very decent, not at all expensive considering the amount and the quality of the food. The restaurant also has a big big room which makes it also ideal for receptions, banquets etc... The owner tries to promote his region (and he is very right to want to do so! and so he can make you taste all the local dishes and wines and liquors and cheese and everything. For going to this region since I am a child for vacation and for having tested about any restaurant around, I can promise you... go there you won 't regret it.
