We're visiting from San Antonio, Texas! We stopped in for coffee on our way to Mount Rushmore. Loved the vibes and the staff!
I absolutely adore the Java Jar! It's a great spot to study, work, or catch up with friends.
During our trip to San Antonio, Texas, we took a break on our way to Mount Rushmore to grab some coffee. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff!
Nestled in a small Torrington mall, this charming, cozy coffee shop is a popular local gathering spot where friendly, efficient staff serve standout coffee, customized drinks, and freshly made breakfast and lunch—from large breakfast burritos and croissants to Bleu cheese walnut salads and soup bread bowls. The compact menu is thoughtfully prepared, tea is well-made, and small retail items are available (slightly pricier). A warm, welcoming stop for coffee lovers, travelers and locals seeking quality food and a great atmosphere.

Stopped at the Java Jar on our way through Wyoming and had the Bleu Cheese Walnut Salad. It was delicious! The lettuce and spinach were fresh and it was loaded with Bleu cheese and walnuts. If you are in Torrington, it's a must!
This restaurant is amazing! While visiting Torrington, I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and an Americano, both of which were delicious. The food and coffee were exceptional, and the service was top-notch.
Excellent coffee and wonderful staff! Genuine kindness is hard to come by these days, so I truly appreciate it. I tried the chocolate-covered cherry ice latte—absolutely delicious!

This charming little spot in Torrington is a true find. I stopped by for coffee, but they didn’t have what I typically order. However, the staff inquired about my usual drink and crafted a perfectly customized version for me. I also tried their breakfast burrito, which was surprisingly large and packed with sausage, eggs, cheese, and seasoned potatoes. It was delicious and freshly made on-site. Their lunch menu features a wide variety of options, and there’s plenty of friendly seating inside the small mall where it's located. It seemed to be a popular gathering place for locals. The staff was efficient and welcoming. I definitely plan to return for lunch soon!
Definitely a cut above. Excellent food, friendly service. Great selection of coffee drinks. Gourmet bread/soup bowls, sandwiches and salads.

I tried the biscuits and gravy, which I was pleased to see on the menu. They were good, though not outstanding. Many people rave about their food, and I've consistently found it to be decent. The place is cozy, so the menu is somewhat limited. Primarily a coffee shop, it offers a fantastic atmosphere for meeting up with others. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit!
