The food at this restaurant is amazing - delicious and affordable. While sitting on the waterfront, you can see mullets swimming by and various sea birds feeding, such as cormorants, egrets, storks, oyster catchers, and geese. It's absolutely fascinating to watch. We visit this restaurant most weekends and can't wait for our next visit. Anete and Bob are fantastic hosts.
We found a hidden gem that was perfect for us! We love quirky places and the service was quick. We were lucky to have been seated inside when it started pouring down rain. The food was cheap and delicious - a fry up for five pounds and a cup of tea for £1.50. The prices were perfect. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The meal filled us up nicely before our walk to Appledoor on the coast path.
I am disappointed to admit that even though I enjoy visiting this cafe for its ambiance and decor, the quality of the food is lacking. I recommend having a coffee and appreciating the atmosphere and surroundings, but I would not expect the food to be satisfactory.
It was such a friendly place to visit, we had food and drinks, would highly recommended it to everyone , will definitely go aboard this boat again
Popped in here mid afternoon yesterday on a rainy Saturday. We were visiting Bideford from Bristol, and what a surprise this cafe was. So quirky retro loved the old Angela Lansbury musical on the TV. Ordered some coffee, a hotdog, and a toasted egg bap all delicious. Owners and waiter very friendly. The whole experience was fun, and memorable. It's an absolute gem. An eccentric one off. The boat café is also licensed, and I bet there's a rockin' good night to be had there too. Really loved it.
