When everyone joined in the light hearted banter and ended the night with cheery pats on the back and 'are you ok.getting home mate? '? No. Neither could I until we found this little hidden gem..it is not a flashy wine bar and bistro with a daft flower in a vase on each table and beef and stilton sandwiches at 15quid a go.. . This is proper .down to earth pub. Alex and Morag .(the owners) dont have customers. They have friends . Some have a pint in thier hand, some a coffee.Everyone is welcome.

I had a order already written out by myself wh... read more I decided to go here for a Sunday Breakfast as mentioned by a popular Tuesday Quiz I go to never tried it before. I had a order already written out by myself who I gave to the Manager who was called Maria a lovely and polite lady I also saw the cook who was called Matt very pleasant chap indeed. Lovely friendly atmosphere with a cool, breeze blowing. I had a Mug of coffee whilst waiting for my breakfast. When it came the presentation was excellent the eggs were cooked perfectly with no black bits underneath. The bacon was not over cooked and English high quality back bacon. I had asked for mushrooms and was delighted to see whole normal sized mushrooms, 4 pieces of toast were provided as I ordered a Double breakfast also the sausages was nice and big and juicy. I gather that Marmalade is also available for the toast. The Mug of coffee I had was unusually superb. It had a nice creamy taste. Out of the corner of my eye I think I spotted that whole milk was used for the coffee. This would explain why it tasted so good. I would definitely be coming back again and highly recommend this. My breakfast with the coffee came to €6 a very good price compared to other places I have been. They also have a Superior even larger breakfast which I might try next time. The mind boggles to how large that would be!

S... read more As far as I could find this is the only place open this early where you can get a full English breakfast. Full breakfast 4 euros includes coffee tea or juice. Staff friendly. This place is not a luxury dining with its plastic chairs and garden style tables so not the most comfortable of places to sit for any length of time but the food is good.
