Don 't show up to a restaurant at ME a few minutes late. Not only will they not be able to seat you (regardless of the number of open seats , they will be less than accommodating or kind about it (read: rude and offer nearly nothing in terms of solutions. This is not the mark of good service, not representative of a world class high end hotel, and certainly not in line with their Everything Is Possible philosophy. (The best we got was a SUGGESTION for us to try another of the resort 's restaurants not even an offer for them to call the other restaurants. NOTE: Make reservations BEFORE you get to the resort or immediately after arriving or you may not get a reservation for ANY restaurant some nights and your only option will be room service; how this is possible at a large resort (especially when there were many seats open on nights when I heard others speak of not being able to get a table is beyond me and simply bad management. Vegetarians should also note that selections are surprisingly limited across the the resort and although a restaurant concierge staff referred to one restaurant as South American (or in one case simply American , in fact it was Brazilian with no menu and a nearly all meat offering. (Though to be fair, after my surprise, the chef made me a simple but delicious pasta dish.

I visited Salt twice for breakfast during my stay at ME Cancun and my friend and I loved it! I think this buffet was a major reason why the all-inclusive stay was worth it. The buffet has numerous breakfast items. There are two egg stations where you can order omelettes, quesadillas, tacos, or anything else that you want freshly made on a grill. There's a smoothie station where you can order different healthy drinks. There's a pastry/bread section where you can choose any kind of bread you'd like and toast it in an automatic machine. This buffet has it all! The service is also superb and all the waiters are quick and attentive. Make sure you visit Salt for breakfast at least once!

Mediterranean cuisine at it 's finest. I think the ambience is the best part, as the room was transformed from the breakfast area into a fine dining experience with high-end food, service, long flowy drapes which section off your private dining area and a great DJ which give you that city vibe while you eat. Our waiter, Antonio, was attentive, gave us great recommendations, answered all of our questions and was all around delightful. He even suggested trying two entrees because we couldn 't choose between the two! He was there whenever we needed him, but was not overbearing. The beauty of this all-inclusive was it was upscale dining but we could try things that we usually wouldn 't at a typical restaurant because you are worried about price or not liking the dish you chose. I had the pumpkin scallop soup-very sweet and not really my taste, but worth the try! I also had the beef tenderloin appetizer which was cooked to perfection and the presentation was impeccable! For dinner I had the chicken, which was so tender I only used my fork and the juice was amazing, as well as the accompanied vegetables and mashed potatoes. We shared the beef tenderloin skewers which were served Portuguese style on the skewer apparatus which locked into the side of the table. The presentation was beautiful and the meat was tender and cooked very well. The cabernet was excellent and the overall experience was a phenomenal way to end our last evening. Tip: Make reservations in advance because it fills up quickly, especially the good dining times. Also, dressy attire is requested. No sleeveless tees or shorts allowed. Dresses and button downs are best!
